There will be a Giving Tree decorated with red, white and blue star shaped tags in the front vestibule of the church as well as the lower entrance to the Social Hall for the month of July.

These tags will feature a variety of household and cleaning items that will benefit residents of Mary’s Shelter in Reading. Mary’s Shelter is an organization that houses single mothers and their newborn babies as well as homeless youth. Supplies will benefit mothers and youth currently living at Mary’s Shelter.

Other supplies will help mothers and youth set up housekeeping in a safe environment when they are ready to live on their own. Parishioners may take any number of star tags, buy the item(s) listed on the star tag and return their donated item(s) to the bin located in front of each Giving tree at any weekend Mass during July. 

There will also be decorated envelopes on the Giving Trees for anyone who would like to purchase a gift card from Target, Walmart or Amazon. These gift cards will be used to purchase needed items for Mary’s Shelter. They can be purchased in the vestibule of church, put into an envelope from the Giving Tree, and then placed in the collection basket during Mass or returned to the Rectory during regular business hours.
