Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry creates shawls and lap blankets, along with Baby Christening Blankets, which are blessed and available in the church rectory. 

We recently made Christmas Stockings for Sr. Faustina and her Children's Liturgy;  We are creating Winter Hats for Good Shepherd students; our lapghans have been requested from the area American Cancer Society.

We meet the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm in the All Saints Room, weather permitting. 

Prayer Shawls are available at the rectory for anyone who needs them.  Just stop by during office hours.

It is almost 15 years since this ministry was started by Mary Catherine Heffelfinger. We have generously presented over 500 Shawls and Afghans to anyone would benefit from them. Our newest members of Queenship have received over 200 Baptismal Blankets. Thanks to Deacon Mike and Sr. Faustina for distributing them.

 
We welcome anyone who would like to participate in this charitable function which enables us to provide blessed shawls and lapghans to anyone who requests them.
