With our Parish Festival now less than four months away — Sunday, June 14, 2026 — I would like to share some important information as we begin preparations.

We also warmly welcome BVM parishioners to take part in the festival and its planning. Festival Planning Meetings All meetings will be held in the Social Hall on the following Wednesdays at 6pm:

March 11, 2026

March 25, 2026

April 15, 2026

May 6, 2026

May 20, 2026

June 3, 2026

If you have worked the festival in previous years, I strongly encourage you to attend one or more of these meetings and offer your feedback. Your experience helps us improve and continue building a successful event for our parish and community.

I especially invite the captains of each festival stand, as well as returning volunteers. I would also like to invite the volunteers who assist with Saturday morning set-up and Sunday evening tear-down to attend at least one meeting this year.

New This Year – The Festival Opening Crew This year we will be introducing a new team: the Festival Opening Crew. This group will arrive early Sunday morning before the festival begins. Volunteers will help fill fryers with oil, prepare grills, place supplies and paper products at each stand, hang signage, and complete any final details needed to ensure we are fully ready to welcome our guests. These responsibilities are just as important as the work that takes place during the festival itself.

Our goal as a parish is to work together so everything runs smoothly and to prevent problems before they arise. We pray for good weather and, most importantly, for the safety of all parishioners, volunteers, and members of the community who will attend. With God’s help — and your continued support — we look forward to another joyful and successful parish festival.

Thank you for your time, dedication, and generosity to our parish.

Sincerely, Pete Skolnik (Festival Planning Committee)
