A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Queenship of Mary Family Dear Parishioners,

On behalf of our entire Festival Committee, I would like to extend my sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the 2026 Queenship of Mary Parish Festival our most successful festival ever. Whether you supported us by becoming a sponsor, purchasing cash raffle tickets, attending the festival, volunteering your time, baking delicious treats for the bake sale, donating basket raffle items, or helping in countless other ways, please know that your generosity and dedication made this incredible achievement possible. Every contribution—large or small—played an important role in our success. It is with great excitement that I share some wonderful news.

After ten years of striving toward this goal, we have officially surpassed our previous one-day festival record, which was set in August 2021. For the first time in our parish’s festival history, we have broken into the $40,000 range! Our 2026 Queenship of Mary Parish Festival generated a record-breaking net profit of just over $42,000! What an incredible blessing this is for our parish. This accomplishment belongs to all of you. It is the result of months of planning, committee meetings, countless hours of preparation, and the tireless efforts of so many dedicated volunteers.

From making homemade pierogies—which, by the way, were absolutely phenomenal this year— to preparing cabbage and noodles two days before the festival, your hard work, commitment, and love for our parish did not go unnoticed. Thank you for giving so generously of your time and talents.

A special thank you goes to Father Lamb for once again allowing us to host this wonderful parish tradition and for his continued support throughout the planning process. We were also delighted to have Father Rich experience his very first Queenship of Mary Festival. (I think we initiated him properly—he even stayed afterward to help put away tables and chairs! I’d say he officially passed his first festival test!) Thank you as well to our seminarian, William Sweeney. I heard Father Lamb assigned him the very important responsibility of praying for good weather—and it certainly worked! The rain held off until after 8:30 p.m., allowing everyone to enjoy a beautiful day together. Above all, we thank Almighty God for blessing us with wonderful weather, keeping everyone safe, and allowing our parish family to come together in such a special way.

The success of this festival is a testament to what can be accomplished when a parish family works together with faith, generosity, and a shared purpose. Queenship of Mary truly knocked it out of the park this year, and I could not be more proud of what we accomplished together. We are already looking forward to next year’s festival and will announce the date as soon as it is finalized. Thank you once again for your overwhelming generosity, your support, and your prayers. May God continue to bless each and every one of you and your families.

With sincere gratitude, Pete Skolnik Festival Coordinator
